Student and Early Career Shock Compression Symposium on August 3-4, 2021

Dear Colleagues,
Registration Deadline Extended - Please register by June 15th.
We'd like to remind you that the APS Topical Group on Shock Compression of Condensed Matter (GSCCM) will host a Student and Early Career Shock Compression Symposium on August 3-4, 2021. The symposium will be held virtually over 2 partial days and will consist of a mix of oral presentations (15 min) and speed talks or posters (3 min). The symposium is free. Attendees and presenters must be an APS GSCCM member. You can join GSCCM at my.aps.org/managemyunits. A limited number of free GSCCM memberships will be made available to students wishing to participate. Contact Secretary/Treasurer Matt Lane (jlane@sandia.gov) for more information about free and discounted topical group membership.
Registration and abstract submission is now open and will be extended until June 15th. Please register soon if you would like to present and also if you just want to attend and see the exciting science advances made this year. In order to plan for the virtual infrastructure, we will need to have an accurate attendance count.
