Allison Pease is a graduate student at Michigan State University (MSU) working with Dr. Susannah Dorfman. Her research focuses on the incorporation of minor and light elements into the crystal structure of major mantle and core phases. She uses synchrotron sourced x-ray diffraction and laser-heated diamond anvil cells to simulate extreme pressure-temperature conditions. She is currently working on CDAC Thrust I. Thermomechanical Extremes where she is characterizing the elastic properties of iron nitrides.
