Professor Park's support of student research and training in CDAC is centered around theoretical studies of emergent electronic, magnetic, and structural properties of materials such as transition metal oxides, oxide superconductors, and heavy fermion systems. He uses dynamical mean field theory (DMFT) and density functional theory (DFT) and is developing new approaches that go beyond these methods and applying them to materials in extreme conditions.
Professor Park jointly supervises CDAC students working in Thrust 3: Complex Materials, Thrust 7: Superconductivity and Electronic and Magnetic Phenomena.
