About

Assistant Professor Chaudhuri jointly supervises CDAC students working in Thrust 1: Elasticity and Equations of State, Thrust 4: Extreme Chemistry, Thrust 6: Phase Transition Dynamics.

Sara Kadkhodaei is an Assistant Professor in the Civil and Materials Engineering department at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She received her B.Sc degree in Civil Engineering in 2009 from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and in Materials Science and Engineering from Brown University in 2013 and 2016, respectively. She was a postdoctoral research associate under the supervision of Prof. A. van de Walle at Brown University until January 2019. Dr. Kadkhodadei’s research interest is in the development of theoretical models to predict phase stability and to understand the underlying mechanism for different materials-related phenomena. In addition, her research focuses on the development of software toolkits and high-throughput computational frameworks.
