Tirzah Abbott (M.S. Northern Illinois University) is an electron microscopist developing microbeam methods to carry out “shock-recovery forensics” (SRF) on dynamically-induced, high-pressure phase transformations using naturally shocked materials, mainly meteorites. Tirzah Abbott is also the SEM Laboratory Manager at NUANCE, Northwestern University Atomic and Nanoscale Characterization Experimental Center.
