Elif Ertekin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Professor Ertekin uses a variety of computational techniques, from atomistic simulations and first-principles calculations, to continuum-scale methods, in order to understand problems related to mechanical phenomena and processes, and the prediction of structures and properties of new materials.
